Flat Roof

Flat Roofs that start to leak and wither can prove to be an inconvenience. When in need of a repair a flat roof can store water between its layers of felt and become damaged without any signs causing the timber to rot leading to expensive repair bills on the horizon if the damage is not caught early.
  • Our roofers will remove all rotten and damaged wood
  • Roof decking is secured tightly to prevent movement
  • New decking is laid, constructing the felt flat roof by laying rolls of felt bonded together with hot tar bitumen to form a weather tight seal
  • mineral edgings are added to protect and seal the flat roof edges and also create a drip that allows flow of water into the gutter
  • Limestone chippings are bonded with a cold tar gritting solution and laid on top. The chippings reflect the sunlight and heat away from the flat roof stopping the intense heat cracking and melting the felt

GRP fiberglass flat roof

GRP fiberglass is a modern technology method for flat roofs that can also be used for roof valleys and industrial roofs.

Our skilled roofers install new GRP fiberglass flat roofing by:

  • Removing all the existing felt flat roof and roof decking
  • Investigating the roof to ensure there is no rot and it is of a sound structure
  • A new OSB sterling board decking is installed
  • The fibre mat is added to the OSB board with bonded resin
  • Specific edging trims are applied to divert the rainwater into the gutters
  • Installation of durable GRP roof
  • Topcoat is applied, creating a complete seal
